The entire CMOS sensor also integrates an addressing circuit, an amplifier, and an A / D.

          Comparison of main performances of CCD and CMOS

          The first point is the difference in full-well capacity: Because each pixel of a CMOS sensor includes a photodiode, amplifier, and readout circuit, the entire sensor also includes an addressing circuit and A / D, making the photosensitive area of each pixel much smaller than the pixel The surface area of the CMOS sensor is lower than the CCD sensor with the same pixel size.
